Participants will apply to the competition using the provided form. Team Leads will be decided by the judging team. Once applications close, Team Leads will choose members one at a time until all members are chosen. Teams will consist of 6-8 members depending on the amount of applicants.

Teams will have four months to work together to make a mod of any length, style, theme, and story, as long as it does not break any rules outlined in the SMJ ruleset. Teams will be expected to work together and contribute to the mod equally.

Streamers and veterans across the Portal community will judge the mods over the course of September. Mods will be judged on quality, creativity, design, and more - all principles central to making a good mod. Depending on the number of entries, judging may continue into November.
