APPLICATIONS OPEN
Welcome to the Summer Mod Jam! We’re excited to have you. As of this post, applications for the competition are officially open. To apply, just fill out the form on our website here.
Due to the length and scope of this competition, updates for the competition will be posted both on this website (via the Updates page) and on our Discord server. This blog will be updated at least once a month with news, information, and check-ins surrounding our teams, as well as any advice or comments our judges may have on how to make your mod the best it can be.
You can find our list of judges on our Judges page, as well as all the rules for this competition on our Ruleset page. Once teams are announced on May 1st, the Teams page will be updated to include a list of each participating team and its members.
Let’s go through some FAQs!
When do applications open?
Right now! In order to participate in SMJ, members will need to apply. The application is really just for information, though - anyone who applies will be accepted. Applications will close Friday, April 25th, midnight CST (GMT-6), so make sure to apply before then.
How will the teams be organized?
In the application form, members will see an option to apply to be a Team Lead. Team Leads take on the responsibility of managing the mod team and making sure work gets done, but in turn, they get to represent the finished product! Teams will then be chosen by the Team Leads dodgeball-style, picking from the list of applicants one at a time, until every team has 4-5 members. After applications close on the 25th, Team Leads will have 5 days to pick their team members.
What's the due date?
Entries are due Friday, April 25th, midnight CST (GMT-6). Not a minute later!
What's the prize?
The winning team's mod will be sponsored through PMaM to be released on Steam free of charge, given everything goes smoothly with the release.
Do I have to be in PMaM to participate?
No. While PMaM is the primary host for this competition, this is a community-based competition. Updates will be posted here, on PMaM, and (occasionally) through P2:CE. You do not have to be in the PMaM server to participate, but we do encourage you to at least subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up-to-date!
